There are no true experts. When it comes to the Bible, we are all students at different levels of progress in our pursuit of the truth. When we make a "discovery" in matters of faith, we are merely submitting ourselves to what God has graciously revealed to us. Not intelligent beyond our measure, we strive to learn and uphold the teachings of the Bible.
Whether we call it theology, doctrine, or biblical teaching, God has entrusted His truths not to scholars, and not to ministers only, but to all believers to learn, believe, and live out. It takes effort. God intended His word to be searched, thought about, puzzled over, even debated...but ultimately understood and cherished.
We live far separated from the language, culture, and spirit of the Ancient Near East, but training can help us bridge those obstacles. I have been blessed to receive some of that training, and seek to shed light on the truths of the Bible in a way that any believer can understand. Where I am right, I hope to help bring evangelicals back to a respect for doctrine as vital to the life of the church. Where I am wrong, I hope my work is fair and informative enough that readers can find my mistakes and get to the truth ahead of me.

A declaration or confession of faith is a statement of an individual's or group's beliefs, especially regarding religion. I think everyone who has confidence in their beliefs should take the time to articulate them, write them out, think about them, and proclaim them. I've decided to post mine.
Some conservative Christian leaders say the attack is God's judgment on America. I disagree, but what does the Bible say?
Related: I encourage people still affected by the attacks to read the book of Habakkuk for its divine perspective on very similar events that happened about 2600 years ago. The attack hit me pretty hard, but this is the biblical text that helped me through it.
